Lottery Commission Votes to Extend Deadline in Southeast Zone
If No Applications Received by Jan. 21 Deadline

TOPEKA, KAN. – The Kansas Lottery Commission has voted to extend the deadline for the filing of Lottery Gaming Facility manager applications in the Southeast Gaming Zone, if no applications are received by the current deadline of January 21, 2009. Thus far, the Lottery has received no applications for the Southeast Gaming Zone. If no applications are received by January 21, the deadline will automatically be extended for an additional period of 90 days to April 21, 2009 at 5:00 p.m.

The deadline for Lottery Gaming Facility manager applications in the Northeast and the South Central zones is April 1, 2009.

The Kansas Lottery Commission met today via teleconference at Lottery headquarters in Topeka. The next meeting of the commission will also be held via teleconference and is scheduled for 11:15 a.m. Wednesday, February 11, 2009.
