Seneca Resident Wins Second Top Prize

TOPEKA, KAN. – Always go with your instinct. At least that’s the advice Linda Scott has to offer other Lottery players. The Seneca resident came to Lottery headquarters in Topeka on Monday to claim a $6,000 top prize she won playing a $1 Cat Scratcher instant scratch ticket.

“I almost didn’t buy that game,” said Scott. “But my instincts told me I should. I’m glad I listened.”

Scott has had great luck recently playing $1 instant scratch tickets. In addition to her most recent win, she won a $3,000 top prize two weeks ago playing a $1 Sunflower State Games instant ticket.

“I love playing scratch tickets,” said Scott. “I play a couple of times a week. The most I’ve won before was $50. It’s hard to believe I’ve won two large prizes in two weeks.”

According to Scott, winning the two top prizes will allow her to pay off her home.

“What a good feeling it will be to pay off my house,” said Scott.

Scott, who is single, has five children and 19 grandchildren.

The winning ticket was purchased at Convenience Xpress 5, located at 101 North Street, in Seneca.
