Triple Tripler Now Salina Resident’s Favorite Game

TOPEKA, KAN. – Triple Tripler has never been William Haunschild’s favorite game. That is until last Saturday. The Salina resident purchased three $1 Triple Tripler instant scratch tickets, winning on all three! He won $3 on two tickets and a $6,000 top prize on the other, bringing his total winnings to $6,006.

“I’ve never won on a Triple Tripler ticket before,” said Haunschild. “It has never been one of my favorite games until now. When I realized I’d won $6,000, I thought no way. This can’t be right. I was dumbfounded.”

After showing his wife Beth the winning ticket, Haunschild decided he’d better have it checked before he got too excited.

“The store was packed with customers when I went back,” said Haunschild. “When everyone found out that I’d just won $6,000 at that store, they all started buying lottery tickets. I bet that store had record lottery sales that day. It was unreal.”

Haunschild and his wife, who have been married 35 years, plan to pay bills with their prize money.

The winning ticket was purchased at Brooks Retail Liquor Store, located at 1843 S. 9th in Salina.
