Topeka Resident Claims $200,000 Powerball Prize!

TOPEKA, KAN. – A Topeka resident, who wishes to remain anonymous, has claimed a $200,000 Powerball prize by matching the first five numbers in the September 26 drawing. The $5 Quick Pick ticket was one number away from winning the Powerball jackpot! The winning numbers for the Sept. 26 drawing are 18-20-34-36-39 Powerball 19. The Topeka resident missed only the Powerball number.

“I had no idea I’d won this much until now,” the winner said when claiming the prize. “I thought I’d won $1,000 or something. When Lottery officials said it was worth $200,000, I was in shock. My wife doesn’t even know yet.”

The winning ticket was purchased at I-70 BP, located at 1000 SW Wanamaker Road in Topeka.

The Powerball jackpot for tonight’s drawing is $170 million.
