Despite that, she asked the friend she was riding with to stop at another store so she could get a second Bonus Crossword ticket. “I don’t even know why,” said the Wichita woman. “I don’t usually play Bonus Crosswords because I’m dyslexic. A friend told me to try one of the Bonus Crosswords because it might help me. Boy, did it ever!”

Garden City Woman Listens to Son and Wins $5,000

In this case, though, it was the son who wanted his mother to listen. Felipe Facio, Junior won $500 a few weeks ago playing the Kansas Lottery’s $20 Extreme Cash instant game. He strongly urged his mother to try the same game when they were at a convenience store last weekend. The way the 21-year-old Atchison woman explains it, about three weeks ago she purchased a dozen instant scratch tickets. After playing the tickets and seeing no big winners, she tucked them into the side pocket of her car door, where they remained until this weekend.
