Kansas Lottery says "Farewell" to Kansas Hold'Em with June Promotion

The Kansas Lottery will discontinue its Kansas Hold'Em game at the end of June, but before that happens, PlayOn® members will have a chance to win poker tables and chips in a month-long "Farewell to Kansas Hold'Em" promotion.

Kansas Hold'Em tickets entered into the Kansas Lottery PlayOn® Player Loyalty program beginning June 1 at 5:00 a.m. through July 1 at 11:59 a.m. are eligible for entry in the promotion.  Tickets may be winning or non-winning.

On July 6, the Kansas Lottery will draw 20 winners. The first ten winners drawn will win a poker table and chips set valued at $100.  The next ten winners will receive a poker table valued at $50. Winners will be announced July 10.

In addition to being entered in the drawing, PlayOn® members will receive DOUBLE POINTS for every Kansas Hold'Em ticket they enter during the entire month of June!

Players will no longer be able to purchase Kansas Hold'Em tickets after the close of business June 30 (12:01 a.m. July 1), but they will still have 365 days from the date of a Kansas Hold'Em drawing to claim prizes.

The Kansas Lottery test marketed the Kansas Hold'Em game in 2006 and began offering it statewide the following year. Like Keno, Kansas Hold'Em is a monitor game with a draw every four minutes. Players can wager from $2 to $10 per draw and can win up to $10,000 per draw.

The Kansas Lottery is ending Kansas Hold'Em as it prepares to switch to a new gaming system vendor with new technology and game opportunities this summer.
