Eureka Resident has Extraordinary Luck Playing Kansas Lottery Games; Wins $100,000 Top Prize and $2,500 Top Prize in One Day!

A Eureka resident had extraordinary luck playing Kansas Lottery games Tuesday morning.  Blaine Gee stopped at a local convenience store after work and purchased five $2 Money Race pull tabs.  Much to his surprise, Gee won a $2,500 top prize on one of the tickets; however, his luck didn't end there.

"I was so excited to have won $2,500," said the 51-year-old.  "I was feeling lucky, so I went to another store across town and bought two of the $20 Platinum Payout scratch tickets.  The first ticket I scratched was a dud, but the second one was a $100,000 winner!  I couldn't believe it!  I won $102,500 in 30 minutes. You always dream of winning big, but you never really think it's going to happen."

Gee, who said he buys Kansas Lottery instant scratch tickets several times a week, has had great luck playing the games.  In 2015, he won a $1,000 cash prize playing an instant scratch ticket and in 2016, he won a $10,000 cash prize playing another instant scratch game.

"The Kansas Lottery is better than Publishers Clearing House," joked Gee.  "Seriously though, the Kansas Lottery has been very kind to me. Winning $102,500 came at a great time, too.  It's giving me a breather financially.  Now I can make a few home repairs and buy a much needed new car."

The lucky winner purchased his $100,000 Platinum Payout winning instant scratch ticket at Eastside Service, located at 1500 E. River St. in Eureka.  The $2,500 Money Race winning pull tab game was purchased at Casey's General Store 1469, located at 720 N. Main St. in Eureka.
