Couple Makes Cross-Kansas Trip to Claim $27,777 Top Prize

Natasha Konrade of Bucklin, Kansas wasn't expecting to make the over four-hour drive into Topeka on Monday. In fact, she wasn't even planning on buying a lottery ticket that day. Luckily, her plans changed when she decided to try a  7 Series ticket. She hit the top prize of $27,777!

"I couldn't believe it at first. I just figured I was misreading the ticket," said Konrade. "I handed it back to the clerk who scanned it, then handed it back to me and said "You're going to have to make a trip to Topeka!" and that's when I knew it was real."

Konrade called her father to tell him the good news. "He was skeptical at first, so I sent him a picture of the ticket. He was so happy for us. We've had some health issues over the past six months, and this is really going to help us financially going forward."

Konrade has two children, ages 3 and 4, and said this will definitely improve their Christmas gifts. "We'll probably get some extra presents, and use the rest toward debt and some savings. It couldn't have come at a better time for us," she added.

The winning ticket was sold at the Circle K Store on 2615 E. Trail in Dodge City. There are still three top prizes left in the $5 7 Series instant scratch game.

Players are invited to submit all their winning and non-winning tickets in the Kansas Lottery PlayOn® Players Loyalty program to earn points for drawing entries and a chance to win cash and other prizes!
