Two Kansas Lottery players have a lot to be thankful for this holiday season! The players, one in Southwest Kansas and one in Northeast Kansas, each matched four numbers and the Powerball to claim a $50,000 prize! The winning numbers on November 28, 2020, were 8 – 12 – 18 – 44 – 51 Powerball 18 and PowerPlay 2X.
November has been a hot month for Powerball, with South Central Kansas seeing back-to-back $50,000 Powerball wins on November 14 and November 18! The $50,000 Powerball prize won on November 18 remains unclaimed. More information can be found here.
The Southwest Kansas region includes the following counties: Greeley, Wichita, Scott, Lane, Ness, Rush, Hamilton, Kearny, Finney, Hodgeman, Pawnee, Stanton, Grant, Haskell, Gray, Ford, Edwards, Kiowa, Morton, Stevens, Seward, Meade, Clark, and Comanche.
The Northeast Kansas region includes the following counties: Marshall, Nemaha, Brown, Doniphan, Riley, Pottawatomie, Jackson, Atchison, Geary, Wabaunsee, Shawnee, Jefferson, Leavenworth, Wyandotte, Johnson, Osage, Douglas, Franklin, Miami, Morris, and Lyon (northern half).
The next Powerball drawing is Wednesday, December 2, with a jackpot of $231 million. Players have until 8:59 p.m. Central Time on draw days to purchase tickets.
Powerball jackpots start at $20 million and tickets start at just $2! There are nine ways to win, and by adding the Power Play multiplier for an additional $1, you can multiply your win up to 10 times, except for the jackpot!
At this time, the Kansas Lottery is only processing mail-in claims. To claim a prize by mail, a player must completely fill out and sign the back of the ticket and completely fill out and sign a claim form, which can be downloaded here.
