Sales for New Powerball Draw Schedule Start Sunday!

Starting Monday, August 23, Kansas Lottery players will have an extra chance every week to win millions when the Powerball draw game expands from two to three drawings! A new Monday drawing will join the weekly lineup of Powerball drawings currently held on Wednesday and Saturday. Players may purchase tickets for the new draw schedule at any Kansas Lottery retailer starting Sunday, August 22!

The Powerball Product Group anticipates the addition of the Monday Powerball drawing will result in larger, faster-growing jackpots. The Group also expects to see an increase in the number of cash prizes and jackpots awarded on an annual basis. However, the cost per play, how to play the game, and the prize structure will remain the same.

While the number of consecutive multi-draws a player can purchase has gradually decreased until the two-day-a-week draw schedule comes to an end, players will be able to purchase their preferred number of drawings, up to a maximum of 15 consecutive draws, beginning Sunday.

The Powerball jackpot has been won in Kansas 11 times since 1993, and 26 other Kansas Lottery players have won $1 million or more!

Players will continue to have until 8:59 p.m. Central Time on draw days to purchase tickets. The next drawing is Saturday, August 21, with an estimated jackpot of $290 million!

Tickets are $2 a play and jackpots start at $20 million. There are nine ways to win, and by adding the Power Play multiplier for an additional $1, players can multiply their win up to 10 times, except for the jackpot.

Players are invited to submit all their winning and non-winning tickets in the Kansas Lottery PlayOn® Players Loyalty program to earn points for drawing entries and a chance to win cash and other prizes! PlayOn® is a registered trademark of Pollard Banknote Limited used under license.
