The Powerball® jackpot for the Saturday, March 23 drawing is an estimated $625 million with an estimated cash option of $380.6 million!
Saturday’s jackpot is the fourth largest in Powerball history and the seventh largest in U.S. lottery history. In 2016, Powerball set a world record jackpot of $1.586 billion. The three winning tickets were sold in California, Florida, and Tennessee.
Since the new year, the Powerball jackpot has rolled 24 times. The last time the jackpot was hit was on December 26, 2018, in New York.
Ahead of Saturday’s Powerball drawing, the Kansas Lottery is reminding all Powerball players to double-check their tickets from the December 29, 2018 drawing.
One ticket sold in south central Kansas matched the first five numbers in the drawing, but not the Powerball. The winning ticket is worth $1,000,000!
The winning numbers in the December 29 Powerball drawing were 12-42-51-53-62 with a Powerball of 25.
The winner has 365 days from the date of the drawing to claim their prize. The winner can claim their prize at the Kansas Lottery headquarters located at 128 N. Kansas Avenue, Topeka, KS.
Powerball tickets are $2 per play. Players select five numbers from 1 to 69; and one Powerball number from 1 to 26.
